Social Campaigns

Social campaigns are designed for those who cannot physically attend the forum in Canada but wish to participate and be part of the change! These campaigns are aimed at involving a broader audience beyond the in-person attendees and, even, beyond the research community.

Three Campaigns:

A) Best Abstract Award, Bringing Research Home,

(Target: researchers, Target audience: researchers).

Researchers submit their thesis abstract in Kurdish, accompanied by a one-paragraph summary for a public audience.

Read the instructions and complete the Google Form.

B) Research video competition, Research in Motion,

(Target: researchers, Target audience: public).

Researchers make a video up to 3 min. about their research in an accessible language to the public.

Read the instructions and complete the Google Form.

C) General Video competition, Breaking Barriers, Making Science More Inclusive,

(Target: public, target audience: public).

In a video of up to 3 minutes, answer one of the following questions:

a) Why does science communication in Kurdish matter?

b) Why is the representation of women and minorities in science important?

Read the instructions and complete the Google Form.
